Prototype Airpods Studio shows HomePod-like material

The well-known tasty Jon Prosser made renders of the AirPods Studio in collaboration with 3D animator CConceptCreator. The images give us a better idea of ​​the design. The images show a silver-colored model. The over-ears are rectangular with rounded corners. This gives the design a somewhat retro feel. The material on the headband and ear cups is very similar to the HomePod.

In addition to the images, Jon Prosser also shares a number of specifications. For example, the headphones are equipped with high-quality leather and metal, magnetic and reversible ear cups. In this way, the headphones detect what the right or left ear is. In addition, AirPods Studio can be used wirelessly and charging is via a USB-C port.

Shortly before the renders of Jon Prosser appeared online, another nice also shared alleged images and presumed specifications of Apple’s headphones. According to that person, the ear cups can rotate just like Beats by Dre headphones.

The over-the-ear AirPods were first predicted in 2018 by Ming-Chi Kuo. With the current persistent rumors, the AirPods Studio release seems to be getting closer.

After the massive success of the  AirPods and  AirPods Pro, it is no surprise that Apple is further expanding its headphone offering. The logical next step is the AirPods Studio: the wireless headphones that you place over your ears.

Apple is organizing at least another event this fall to announce the iPhone 12 and the new Mac with Apple Silicon. There is a chance that the headphones will be revealed.
