ASUS Chromebook CX9

ASUS brings three new Chromebooks to market and presents them during CES in Las Vegas teachers. First of all, there is a traditional notebook, but one with a handsome metal housing and a design that looks really slick. The thin screen edges and the thin design are also immediately noticeable. The laptop is only 16 mm thick and weighs 1 kilogram. Nevertheless, it is sturdy, as it meets the military MIL-STD 810H standard. The laptop also has a pair of Harman Kardon speakers.

Furthermore, there is a 14 inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The panel has a brightness of 400 nits. The engine of this Chromebook is in Intel’s eleventh generation Core processors. You can get it with Core i5 or Core i7 and it comes with 8 GB or 16 GB RAM. The Chromebook from Asus offers support for Wi-Fi 6. storage is 128 GB, but there is also the option of using a model with a sturdy 4 TB hard disk.ASUS Chromebook CX9

In addition, the Chromebook CX9 has a webcam that takes images with 720 resolution and it has a sliding system that allows you to cover the camera. The Chromebook CX9 also has a fingerprint scanner that helps you log in without a password. It also has a whole range of connections: 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2 USB 3.2 type-c ports, 1 USB A port, HDMI, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microSD slot.

ASUS Chromebook CX5 / C536

Depending on the market where it appears, ASUS wants to call this Chromebook CX5 or C536. The device is a convertible model with a larger screen compared to the Chromebook CX 9. It does have a housing made of plastic, but it retains the Harman Kardon speakers. ASUS made the touchpad out of glass.

Furthermore, there is a 15.6 inch Full HD IPS LCD touchscreen that also works with a stylus and has a brightness of 250 nits. Under the hood, we still find Intel processors, but this Chromebook is also available with a lighter Core i3-1115G4 processor. It works with Wi-Fi 6 and there is still 8 GB or 16 GB RAM and ASUS also promises a battery life of 12 hours with the Chromebook CX5.ASUS Chromebook CX5 C536

If we take the connections there, we find a USB-A port, two USB 3.2 type-c ports, HDMI, a microSD slot and a 3.5 mm audio jack on this Chromebook. The device has a regular 720p webcam.

ASUS Chromebook Flip CM5

The Chromebook CM5 is also a convertible model, but this time it comes with a metal body and a look that should appeal to gamers. ASUS accentuates the WASD keys with an orange tint. You will also find such an accent around the Harman Kardon speakers, the power button and volume buttons.

The Chromebook CM5 from ASUS appears with the same touchscreen as the Chromebook CX5. In addition, it comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 3 processor, but without a video card. The Chromebook should therefore primarily appeal to Stadia and NVIDIA GeForce Now gamers. Furthermore, 4 GB to 16 GB of RAM is possible and the Chromebook comes with 64 GB eMMC storage and up to 512 GB NVME storage. It also works with WiFi 6.ASUS Chromebook Flip CM5
