Do you want to delete all your Facebook messages at once? Which can! In this article, we’ll explain how to remove or hide all your contributions in just a few taps.
How to delete Facebook messages at once
The new feature will be rolled out in phases to users of the Facebook app. It can, therefore, take a while before Manage Activities, as the function is called, is available to you.
How to delete Facebook messages on your Android phone:
- Open the Facebook app on your Android smartphone;
- Tap the settings menu at the top right of the screen, recognizable by the three dashes;
- Tap your profile picture and tap the three dots next to ‘Add to the story’;
- Select ‘Activity Log’ and tap the Facebook messages you want to delete;
- Confirm your choice (s).
The filters at the top of the screen help you find or hide messages you want to delete. For example, you can search for contributions from a specific year or posts that mention specific people. As soon as you remove them, they end up in the trash. Messages remain here for 30 days, after which they are permanently deleted. You can also hide messages. This allows you to see the posts, but not others.
Thanks to the new function, you can erase almost all your history on Facebook with a few taps of the button. For this, you had to separate messages, likes, and tags (when someone mentions your name under a photo or video). Checking each piece of messages takes a lot of time, especially when you’ve been on Facebook for years.
