Huawei P40 Lite E official: budget phone without Google apps

Huawei launches the P40 Lite E in the Netherlands for a suggested retail price of 199 euros. This device is a cheaper version of the P40 Lite that has been available since the beginning of April.

The phone with a plastic casing runs on the older Kirin 710 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage and a hefty 4,000 mAh battery. The P40 Lite E is also equipped with three camera sensors on the back. As the main camera, there is a 48 MP copy with an f / 1.8 aperture and there is also an 8 MP wide-angle camera and a 2 MP depth camera. The selfie camera of this phone has an 8 MP sensor.

No Google apps

The Huawei P40 Lite E works with  Huawei Mobile Services  (HMS) and therefore does not have Google apps and services such as Maps, Gmail, and Google Drive. The Google Play Store is also not available on this phone, for apps and games you have to rely on Huawei’s AppGallery.

This app store already contains a lot of content, but not all known apps and games. The phone also runs on Android 9 and not on Android 10 like the other phones in the P40 series, the P40 Lite, the P40, and the P40 Pro.
