Huawei has kicked off its most powerful flagship, because the P40 Pro Plus with its periscope camera with 10x optical zoom will be available in the Netherlands from June 25 for 1399 euros.
Huawei P40 Pro Plus
In March, Huawei launched its P40 series of flagships that focus on strong camera performance. We already discussed it extensively in our review where we will work with the camera of the device.
Along with the P40 series, Huawei also announced the Pro Plus variant, but it would only be released later. Huawei Netherlands has now announced to Tech largest that the phone will appear in the Netherlands on March 25 and that it will cost 1399 euros.
The P40 Pro Plus adopts the specifications of the P40 Pro in most areas, but it does set some accents of its own. The most striking is the periscope camera, which this time does not allow a 5x optical zoom, but a 10x optical zoom. So you can zoom in further without loss of quality.
In the small camera sensor of the device, five reflections of the light occur so that the image is magnified through different lenses. In addition to that periscope camera, this phone has a second tele camera for the smaller zoom distances up to 3x optical zoom. In this article, you can read more about the technical side of the P40 Pro Plus camera.
Ceramic and wireless charging
In addition to the improved zoom performance, this phone comes with a housing made of ceramic, and according to Huawei, the company is conducting a five-day manufacturing process where the back of the housing is made. The phone will be available in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White colors.
In addition, the P40 Pro Plus also comes with better wireless charging performance. With the P40 Pro, wireless charging is limited to a power of 27 watts, but that is now 40 watts with the Pro Plus.
The phone finally works with Android 10 and Huawei’s EMUI 10.1 shell, and the device comes with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). What do you think of Huawei’s most powerful flagship? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
