One of them, the mobile version of the popular PC game League of Legends, is now available. The free game features League of Legends: WildRift and developer Riot Games tries to keep as many features of its hit game as possible while customizing the interface to fit phone screens.
League of Legends was released in 2009, but over the years this game has managed to maintain a large player base. League of Legends is a strategy game where players can choose from a series of ‘Champions’, each of which has unique powers. You play in a team of 5 champions against the other team, and you are supposed to destroy the base of your opponents.
As you have played more games, you can unlock new Champions. All Champions can be unlocked in-game without micro-transactions and Wild Rift also has no micro-transactions that give you access to extra powers or a longer playing time. Riot Games really wants to make a statement with regard to other game developers who do include so-called pay-to-win microtransactions in their games.
