Set up and use Night Shift on a Mac

Enable directly from the control panel for macOS Big Sur. Just like on an iPhone or iPad, you can also use Night Shift on a Mac. This ensures that you are less bothered by the bright blue light that the screen produces in the evening.

The function ensures that your eyes do not get tired by the bright light. This is also better for your sleep because the blue light ensures that you produce less melatonin, according to scientists. With Night Shift, the blue light is suppressed by a yellow glow across the screen. As a result, the screen radiates a warm natural color, which is pleasant for your eyes when it is dark.
