The OnePlus 8T was officially shown to the world by the smartphone maker just days before launch. We see the upcoming flagship in its Aquamarine color.
The OnePlus 8T can now also be seen in official renders from OnePlus that the smartphone maker itself has revealed. The phone will appear in its cyan Aquamarine color in renders and a video from OnePlus, and those images basically confirm everything we already knew about the upcoming flagship.
First, we see that the phone, unlike the OnePlus 8 series, comes with a flat-screen with rounded sides. It is about a 6.55-inch panel, which OnePlus already announced, and the screen will get a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10 + and a blue light filter and a screen notch on the left.
We also see that the Aquamarine variant has a shiny glass finish, and in a post on the OnePlus Forums, CEO Pete Pau says that the company has spent four months looking for the right finish. The current choice reflects incident light in all directions and makes fingerprints barely visible.
New camera setup
Another aspect that stands out is the camera setup that has shifted to the left this time, and the 8T has a total of four sensors on the back. It concerns a 48 MP main camera, a 16 MP wide-angle camera, a 5 MP macro camera and a 2 MP monochrome camera. It is striking that OnePlus is renouncing both the round camera design of the OnePlus 7T and the vertical arrangement of the OnePlus 8 series from the spring.
In addition to the Aquamarine color that OnePlus itself shows, we already know that the phone will be on the market in a second variant. The rumor distributor Ishan Agarwal is already leaking images of a gray 8T in the color Lunar Silver on Twitter. It would be a matte finish.
