Xiaomi will announce the POCO X3 on Monday, September 7. This successor to the POCO X2 gets a 64 MP camera on the rear.
POCO X3 launch
Xiaomi has sent out invitations for the global introduction of the POCO X3 at 2 p.m. Dutch time. Dutch and Belgian media have also received the invitation, so the phone will also be released here.
The POCO X3 will succeed in the POCO X2, launched at the beginning of this year, with a 64MP rear camera. This is probably the same Sony IMX 686 sensor that the Poco F2 Pro is also equipped with. A POCO marketing manager recently revealed this on Twitter. This man also just announced that the phone is equipped with the latest chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 732G. This chipset is intended for midrange phones and comes with a slightly higher clock time for the (graphics) processor.
According to rumors, the POCO X3 will feature a 6.67-inch full HD + screen, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz, which means that touches must be detected very quickly. On that screen would be a notch for the 20 MP selfie camera. There is also talk of a 5,160 mAh battery that supports 33 watts fast charging.
All in all, the POCO X3 seems to be a very strong middle class that, unlike the X2, will be released in the Netherlands and Belgium. No details have yet been released about the price. The POCO X2 was launched in China in two versions: the cheapest variant (6 GB / 64 GB) cost the equivalent of 204 euros and the most expensive variant (8 GB / 256 GB) paid 267 euros. The more expensive Poco F2 Pro is available for 399 euros (6 GB / 128 GB) and 599 euros (8 GB / 256 GB). The price of the POCO X3 will likely be somewhere in between.
