If you enter your PIN code incorrectly on your smartphone three times, you will need a PUK code. What is such a code and where to find it? You can read all about it on Techlargest.
What is a PUK code?
A PUK code is actually a PUK code, which stands for Personal Unlock Key or PIN Unlock Key. It is a specific code that you will need if you enter your PIN incorrectly up to three times. The SIM card then blocks and can only be unlocked with the special PUK code.
Where can I find my PUK code?
You will always receive a PUK code together with your PIN-code and SIM card. It does not matter whether you take out a subscription in combination with a smartphone, take out a SIM-only subscription or purchase a new prepaid SIM card. You can change the PIN yourself, but this is not the case with the PUK code. This will always remain the same per SIM card.
Keep the code safe
That PUK code is therefore very important and that is why you should keep it safe. This special code is often printed on a plastic card, wherever you express your SIM card. Isn’t that the case? Then view the enclosed letter, because then the code can be found on it. So keep this plastic card or letter safe, or choose, for example, to save the code in your phone itself.
In addition, you will often find the PUK code in your personal account of your provider. There you will not only find this code but also, for example, invoices, information about your subscription and your data usage. That is why it is useful to create such an account anyway or to install the provider’s app on your smartphone. If you enter the PUK code incorrectly nine times, the entire SIM card will be blocked and you will need to contact your provider’s customer service.
