Samsung Galaxy Fit 2
Samsung has announced the successor to its Galaxy Fit at an online event. The Galaxy Fit 2 comes with a ton of fitness features and a relatively low price tag. Samsung halves the price of 99 euros that the original Fit cost and the new Fit 2 now appears on the market for 49 euros.
The new wearable has a color screen, in contrast to the black and white panel of the Galaxy Fit e that Samsung released last year. It is a 1.1 inch AMOLED screen that has curved edges, or ‘3D glass’. Furthermore, the Fit 2 is made of plastic and it has a housing that is IP68 water-resistant. So it can survive half an hour in water up to 1.5 meters deep. The fitness tracker also comes with a 159 mAh battery that allows it to survive 15 days on one battery charge.
The Fit 2 from Samsung automatically recognizes five different types of activities and then shares insights such as the number of calories burned, your heart rate, the distance traveled, and more. The strap can also analyze the quality of your sleep and thus calculate a sleep score and provide some extra information.
The Fit 2 is available in a red and black color from 49 euros. It works with all Android devices running version Android 5.0 Lollipop or later. Phones must also have at least 1.5 GB of RAM.
