The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus gets a triple camera that takes better photos than the Galaxy S20 series. That claims a usually reliable source, which also shares the alleged camera specifications.
‘Camera specifications Note 20 Plus leaked’
We expect the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus in July or August, which is why more and more rumors are popping up. A well-known tasty person who calls himself IceUniverse, reports on the Chinese platform Weibo that the Note 20 Plus gets three cameras on the back. IceUniverse is usually right, but not always. So take the rumor with a grain of salt.
According to the insider, Samsung’s own ISOCELL Bright HM1 is the primary camera of the Note 20 Plus. This 108-megapixel camera is also included in the Galaxy S20 Ultra and thus returns in the latest top model. The camera does not always focus properly when the subject is close. Samsung has rolled out multiple updates to improve the camera. Whether Note 20 Plus suffers from a focus problem is not yet clear.
The S20 Ultra’s primary camera gets help from a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor, but it wouldn’t return on the Note 20 Plus. IceUniverse claims that the smartphone gets regular laser autofocus for better results.
‘Also other wide-angle and zoom cameras’
Another wide-angle camera would also debut in the Note 20 Plus. The tasty is called the ISOCELL Fast 2L3, a new and promising sensor with a resolution of 12 megapixels. This camera would take better photos during the day, but especially in the dark, than the wide-angle lens of the Galaxy S20 series, and can film in slow motion.
The third camera, the zoom camera, will also be overhauled, according to IceUniverse. The S20 Ultra has a 48-megapixel camera that works with a periscope system to bring the image closer with little loss of quality. You can zoom up to a hundred times, but in our Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra review, we write that so much zoom is useless because of the poor quality.
The Note 20 Plus would, therefore, offer a maximum of fifty times zoom, also via a periscope system. The 48-megapixel sensor is exchanged for a 13 megapixel (ISOCELL Slim 3M5) with better image functions and an improved night mode.
More about the Galaxy Note 20 series
Samsung is expected to present the Galaxy Note 20 series in July or August. In any case, count on a regular Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Plus. A better Galaxy Note 20 Ultra may also appear, but it is still unclear. Recently a Bluetooth registration leaked for the Ultra version, but it mentions the model number that matches the Plus variant.
The Note 20 series will follow the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus from last year and will again have a stylus for (on) drawings. The devices are expected to run on a new Exynos processor, have 120Hz screens, and come with Android 11. Leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 20 renders show what smartphones are likely to look like.
